Dreams Do Come True!

I'm so excited and so thankful that so many people have supported my children's book, "Dreams Do Come True!" I went to a bookstore several months ago to buy a gift for my friend's kid and EVERY single book on the shelf was either about politics, race and yes...even sexuality. We are talking about "young readers" age 3-5! I was so disgusted, I couldn't even believe that there wasn't one fun book about being a kid and following your dreams. That's when I decided I had to write one myself.

I've been so blessed in my life that I was able to realize that you really can do anything you want in life. As a child, I didn't really dream because I was too busy just surviving. I wonder sometimes what I could've achieved if I learned as a child that I could create anything I could imagine.

It's definitely one of the best feelings I've ever experienced when I get pictures of little girls reading my book. To think that my words may impress them enough to help them follow their dreams is one of the most humbling and proud feelings I've ever had.

One of my favorite things about the book is the vision book/journal at the end. I've created AMAZING things from my vision boards. I have no doubt that visualizing things you want helps you create them. In the back of the book are several pages where they can draw or cut out pictures of things they want to do, be and have. I still make a vision book every year and am still amazed at how powerful they are.

Every month I give a percentage of the proceeds to a different charity. I have supported Mission 22, Feed America and will next be supporting Wounded Warriors, The Green Beret Foundation, and many others.
